Recognising Phishing and Smishing Attempts

Phishing (via email) and smishing (via SMS) are methods used by cybercriminals to trick users into revealing confidential information. These messages often mimic official communications and create a sense of urgency to prompt immediate action.

Watch out for:

  • Unexpected password reset notifications

  • Unusual payment or transaction requests

  • Messages urging you to call unofficial numbers

  • Suspicious links or attachments

If you receive such a message:

  • Do not click links or download attachments

  • Do not respond or provide any information

  • Do not call back numbers that are not officially listed

  • Report it immediately to our support team at +356 20926000

  • Always verify communication before sharing sensitive data
